I'm only fond of dandelions when they are the subject of my picture of the day. And this one showed off just perfectly.

Something older..... this too was a live Christmas tree at one time. It was the first blue spruce we had for our Christmas. Matt and Jim dug the hole before the ground froze, covered it with a plywood piece and after the holidays planted the tree. It has been growing tall ever since. Unfortunately this one also has a blight and must come down. We will look very different for awhile till we get used to it. Or until we plant something else in its place. I'm glad we have photographs for posterity.

Something old - once upon a time this was our live Christmas tree. Now it has to be taken down because it has a blight. It's too bad because it used to be beautiful and had such good memories. I guess we'll start some new ones with the replacement.

Jim cleaned out the garage today! First time in..... well, too long but then who likes to clean the garage? Among many other oddities he discovered this fire extinguisher that belonged to my father. Don't even ask how old it is.... I won't tell you. Anyway he emptied out the bit of CO2 that remained and now we have to figure out how to dispose of the canister. ( PS the garage looks so much better now and is much cleaner. Wonder how long it will stay that way?)

Lyn and Todd took us to dinner at the CIA to celebrate our anniversary. Yum! It was so good and fun to have students doing all the work. An excellent experience and we'll go back again.
